Strengthen policy development and reform at the national level in the sphere of drinking water supply and sanitation management and governance in Tajikistan.
IOM provides safe water in line with relevant quality standards. Interventions include rehabilitation of existing water infrastructure and installation of new water treatment and supply systems. IOM strives to promote sustainability of WASH interventions through strengthening governance structures to ensure long term functionality of water systems. In the past three years, 45% of the total beneficiaries from IOM WASH interventions (over 5 million individuals) were provided with access to safe water.
