IAHR Launches Global Water Awards to Celebrate Excellence in the Water Sector

The International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) has introduced the Global Water Awards to honour outstanding contributions and innovations in hydro-environment engineering and research.

Open to both IAHR members and non-members, these awards highlight exceptional achievements addressing critical challenges in sustainability, climate resilience, energy, food, disasters, and digital transformation.

Three award categories have been established by the IAHR Council:

Individual Category: Recognizing exceptional contributions to water engineering research and practice.
Organization Category: Honouring groundbreaking discoveries or innovative approaches to global water challenges.
Young Professional Category: Celebrating leaders under the age of 35 who are advancing the water sector.

The awards ceremony will take place on 23 June 2025 during the IAHR World Congress in Singapore. Nominations close on 31 January 2025.
