Virtual issue of Natural Resources Forum focusing on water

The Natural Resources Forum, is a United Nations Sustainable Development Journal, that seeks to address gaps in current knowledge and stimulate relevant policy discussions, leading to the implementation of the sustainable development agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. 

Released in conjunction to the UN 2023 Water Conference, the Natural Resources Forum was released as a virtual thematic issue consisting of articles that address key water issues and challenges in various parts of the globe, illustrating scholars’ efforts to tackle them with cutting-edge research in the field. 

The UN 2023 Water Conference, co-hosted by the Netherlands and Tajikistan, took place at the UN Headquarters in New York, on 22-24 March 2023. The conference aimed to provide support for achieving the internationally agreed water-related goals and targets, including those contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through its plenary meetings and five interactive dialogues, the Conference served as a platform for commitments and transformative game changers across sectors and actors towards strengthening global action on water.
