The Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) taking place in Doha (March 5-9) focuses on accelerating sustainable development and tapping the full potential of Least Developed Countries to help them make progress on the road to prosperity.
A short panel discussion took place at the LDC5 SDG Media Zone between Csaba Kőrösi, United Nations General Assembly President, H.E Marjan Kamstra, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the State of Qatar, and H.E Khisrav Sohibzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar. The session was moderated by Natasha Ghoneim, Senior Correspondent and News Directorate at Al Jazeera.
The three panellists discussed water as a 'dealmaker' for multilateral cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals and explore how water can be a cnovenor, connector and catalyst in our efforts to create a safer, fairer and more resilient world.
The conversation trailed some of the key themes of the upcoming UN 2023 Water Conference to be held at UN Headquarters in New York, 22-24 March.
