IAHR’s Water Monographs are a series of mid-sized publications that bridge knowledge gaps, summarize existing knowledge, and publicize recent advances in technologies and methods.

Practical Flooding Risk Assessment for Development Projects explores science-informed action to tackle unprecedented flood flow peaks.

Audiences include hydraulic engineers involved in the active management of post-disaster reconstruction. In particular, it is aimed at codifiers, experienced supervising engineers involved in revising legal Codes of Practice to guide practicing engineers.
