GLAAS 2024/2025 data collection cycle is live

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched the ‘GLAAS’ 2024/2025 cycle. Countries are invited to complete a survey on four key areas of WASH systems: governance, monitoring, human resources, and finance. Additionally, the survey features new questions on climate resilient WASH.

The Global Analysis and Assessment of Sanitation and Drinking-Water (GLAAS) is a UN-Water initiative implemented by WHO. GLAAS collects data through country and external support agency (ESA) surveys and publishes reports summarizing WASH systems data every two to three years.

The objective of GLAAS is to provide policy- and decision-makers at all levels with a reliable, easily accessible and comprehensive analysis of WASH systems to make informed decisions for sanitation, drinking-water and hygiene.

The country survey, guidance document and training modules are now available here (in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Russian and Arabic versions will be available soon).

The submission deadline for the GLAAS country survey is 15 October 2024.
