Eighth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2025)

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) has announced that the next Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 2-6 June 2025.

Hosted by the Government of Switzerland and co-chaired with UNDRR, “GP2025” will constitute an important milestone between the High-Level meeting on the midterm review of the Sendai Framework (in May 2023) and the final five years of the Sendai Framework.

The event offers a chance for all stakeholders to urgently recommit to accelerate progress on disaster risk reduction towards the achievement of sustainable development.

The official programme of the GP2025 will be conducted in all six official UN languages. More information on the preparations for the GP2025 will be made available on a dedicated website as planning progresses.
