World Water Week

Later this month, World Water Week 2022 will take place online and in Stockholm, Sweden, from 23 August to 1 September.

The theme of the event is “Seeing the Unseen: The Value of Water”, reflecting the urgent need to better understand and value water in its full complexity.

Organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), World Water Week 2022 will focus on three main issues:

  • the value of water for people and development;
  • the value of water for nature and climate change; and
  • the financial and economic value of water.

The event will take place from 23 August – 1 September, with the online sessions held from 23-25 August. During the week, UN-Water will convene various activities, sessions and events.
