Space4Water Stakeholder Meeting

Space4Water’s vision is to enable all stakeholders involved in the space and water communities to access data and knowledge, to be creative and to realize their full potential in contributing to a world in which the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all has become a reality.

The Space4Water project was born out of an agreement signed in 2016 between the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW).

At this first stakeholder meeting, the Space4Water stakeholder community will have an opportunity to network in person. The workshop's objectives include the identification of:

  • shared community objectives for the Space4Water community
  • approaches to assessing user needs within the community and water related sectors towards the space sector
  • approaches to facilitate matchmaking between users with needs and existing gaps and stakeholders who have solutions to (partial) problems.

The workshop will take place on 27-28 October 2022 at the Vienna International Centre, with an option to hold proceedings online should COVID-related restrictions prevent travel in October.

Registration and joining details can be found here.
