IMI-SDG6
Monitoring progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 6 on water and sanitation
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development specifies that global follow-up and review of progress towards the SDGs shall primarily be based on national official data sources. Through the UN-Water Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG 6 (IMI-SDG6), the United Nations seeks to support countries in monitoring water- and sanitation-related issues within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and in compiling country data to report on global progress towards SDG 6.
On this page, you find all publications of IMI-SDG6, including introductions to SDG 6 monitoring and reporting, detailed methodologies for the SDG 6 global indicators and guidance on how to implement SDG 6 monitoring at the country level, and progress reporting based on country data.
