From the 8 to 9 December 2021, the Land and Water Days are hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

During these two days, FAO Land and Water Division invite participants to engage in lively presentations and discussions on key cross-cutting trends, and global and regional perspectives on our land, soil and water resources. Thematic sessions will focus on innovative pathways to advance a transformation of our agri-food systems.

FAO Land and Water Division will also present the main findings of the The state of the world's land and water resources for food and agriculture (SOLAW 2021) report.

The central theme of SOLAW 2021 is “Systems at breaking point”, providing solutions away from the business-as-usual approach, injecting a sense of urgency in making the necessary transformation at the roots of the global food systems - water, land and soils – and inspiring uptake by decision-makers at the global, regional and national levels.
