Slogan contest

21 August - 31 December 2012

The slogan contest is now closed. The selected slogan "Water, Water Everywhere, Only if We Share" submitted by Megha Kumar was announced at the Launch Ceremony of the International Year of Water Cooperation in Paris on 11 February 2013.

We have received 12 151 slogan proposals, from 5 654 people in 180 countries. We thank all of those who participated and shared with us their vision of water cooperation! Our selection committee comprising representatives from UN-Water, UNESCO, UNECE and UN-DPAC then exceptionnally selected 6 slogans instead of the 3 announced because we received so many and 6 of them obtained close score.
Almost 3 000 people participated in the final poll that determined the official slogan for the International Year of Water Cooperation and the World Water Day 2013.
