UNITAR and UN Environment launch environmental governance course

A safe and secure environment is one the fundamental requirements for sustainable development.

There are over 500 hundred environmental agreements in place today, which are assisting governments to meet environmental commitments to restore, conserve and preserve the natural environment, including forests, oceans, rivers, marshlands, and species. Keeping these commitments requires knowledge and skills, as well as political commitment.

UNITAR and UN Environment launch a 3-hour online course to raise awareness and understanding of how international environmental agreements and policies are made, by whom, and how they are complied with, and enforced.

The course is available free of charge and you may enroll here.
