World Water Week in Stockholm
It started as a festival and turned into one of the most important events of the year for water experts, practitioners and decision makers. When the World Water Week (WWW) in Stockholm takes place, organizations from around the world hurry to convene events and present latest findings and projects.
Every year in Stockholm, Sweden - and since 1991 - over 200 organizations and 2500 individuals gather for one full week to exchange ideas and foster new thinking at the World Water Week organized by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). Each year has a theme which links to the theme that UN-Water sets for World Water Day (22 March). This year's World Water Week (31 August - 5 September) will focus on 'Energy and Water'.
In view of the event and during the week, UN-Water and SIWI arrange joint activities and processes. Many of the UN-Water family members are present and as every year, participants are welcome to attend the UN-Water Stakeholder Dialogue, the presentation of next year's World Water Day campaign and a make visit to the UN-Water Pavilion.
