A multi donor project was recently signed in order to to strengthen UN-Water's institutional arrangements and capacity to ensure its effective operation to:
· promote greater coherence and integration among UN agencies and programmes;
· provide a single point of access on water-related issues;
· facilitate communication and cooperation with external partners.
The project will assist UN-Water to map the water-related responsibilities of UN agencies, in order to reduce duplication and increase efficiency and effectiveness; it is expected to provide evidence that supports rationalisation and performance improvement.
