UN-Water's 10 years Anniversary

UN-Water is the United Nations inter-agency coordination mechanism for all freshwater and sanitation related matters.
It was formally established in September 2003 by the United Nations High Level Committee on Programmes, building on a long history of coordination in the UN System.

UN-Water provides the platform to address the cross-cutting nature of water and maximize system-wide coordinated action and coherence; and serves the UN Member States in their efforts towards achieving development goals related to freshwater and sanitation. UN-Water is well placed in the UN System to provide the coordination platform to address water issues in the post-2015 development agenda. Through UN-Water the UN System is acting as "One UN".

On the occasion of its 10 years anniversary, UN-Water presents a specially decorated visual identifier and an interactive timeline highlighting milestone events and important outputs since its establishment in 2003.
